Yes, from now it will be 17 states but not all 27 ones as it was befor, plus six other European Union countries. After lond duscussion Euro leaders have come to decision the Euro Zone has to be rebuilded – from 27 states to 17+6, it was not reported which one countries are included in the additional list of 6. Probably it would be Greece, Spain or Italy and some states of the east of Europe. All countries of new Euro Zone would provide up to euro200 billion ($268 billion) in extra resources to the International Monetary fund.
Anyway the plan is fixed and has to be turned into reality.
“I have always said, the 17 states of the eurogroup have to regain credibility,” she said. “And I believe with today’s decisions this can and will be achieved.” German Chancellor Angela Merkel said.
French President Nicolas Sarkozy said that he would have preferred a treaty among all the members of the European Union. But that could not be achieved, because the British proposed that they be exempted from certain financial regulations.
“We could not accept this” because a lack of sufficient regulation caused the current problems, Sarkozy said.
